It still works great though, it has great range and has not let me down yet, I highly recommend this for it's durability(my pocket is not very nice to USB jump drives either). This was the second bluetooth adapter I have purchased, the first turned out to be junk. This product feels well built at first but does not have a cap and after rattling around in my pocket for 3 weeks the USB connection seems to be getting a little loose from the external case (it still is firmly attached to the internal parts).
Otherwise, a great buy and much cheaper than buying stuff from Apple. Eventually, I uninstalled their drivers and it worked fine with plug and play. This product works fine, but beware of the drivers on their CD if you're using Vista. I had such problems that in the end I had to reinstall Office from scratch, which was a huge pain.
Overall a good buy. No problems here, it does what it's supposed to do. I'm only using it to connect a Bluetooth headset; pairing was pretty easy, and it connects without too much trouble.
After I tried it on my linux machine, it started working with no special attention.I haven't yet given it another shot in Windows but I can recommend this item for Ubuntu with Gnome. When I tried it in XP, plug and play kept interrupting my installation and I finally gave up.
There was a little confusion with the drivers (should have read the instructions first) but otherwise it works just great - easy, compact, and a great range. I had a bluetooth headset for my phone and wanted to use it with Skype - I just plugged in the adapter, and away I went.
